Lesson TWO

For this lesson we started working on the nose. We continued studying the technique of chiaroscuro, but now using charcoal instead of graphite.

NOSE

Out of all of the features on the face, the nose is by far my least favorite to draw, so this was an anticipated challenge. I’m not very proud of the final product, but I’m still learning. That poor model, it seems that I have given her an awfully crooked nose on paper. To be fair, this was my first attempt with charcoal, so I applaud my effort regardless.
