My Date with Bellini

I met up with Giovanni at the National Gallery, where he showed off several of his works. My first thought was this guy is REALLY into painting Madonna, as well as portraits of young men. He gave off serious Dad vibes, which checks since he’s considered the “Father of the Renaissance.” Overall, he seemed pretty sincere, but I couldn’t help but wonder if all the fame got to his head - especially when we passed by a painting that looked a whole lot like a self-portrait.

I didn’t want things to get awkward, so I decided not to tell him that I also had a date with his star pupil Titian later that day.
